Brett Ritchie Destroys Jujhar Khaira With K.O. [Fight]
Jujhar Khaira should change his name to Matthew McConaughey, because Brett Ritchie left him Dazed and Confused during the first period of the Flames - Oilers game.
Khaira thought that hitting Oliver Kylington with a head shot, during the early minutes of the first period, was a smart idea. Unfortunately, Brett Ritchie thought punching Khaira so hard he'd reach another plane of existence was an even better idea.
With 10:28 left in the first, Ritchie told Khaira that he was answering for his hit on Kylington. As he usually does, Khaira accepted without hesitation. However, Ritchie was seeing red and the moment he grabbed hold of Khaira it was all over. Flooded with a flurry of rights, Khaira had no idea what was happening, then he opened himself up for a bomb square to the face.
One perfectly place hook and that was all she wrote, Khaira was out. He was so dazed that once the got him to his feet they had to drag him off or he would have fallen flat on his face.
Ironically, Oliver Kylington was back on the bench before the end of the period and snagged an assist on the Flames second goal. However, the same could not be said for Khaira. He went to the back and never returned.
Elias Lindholm, Dillon Dube, Andrew Mangiapane and Noah Hanifin lit the lamp for Calgary. While Leon Draisaitl, Josh Archibald and Adam Larsson scored for Edmonton.
The Calgary Flames beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3.
The Flames will meet the Oilers again on Wednesday.
