Colin Miller Drills Taylor Hall In Mouth With Slapper [Video]
Taylor Hall took a clapper to the mouth from teammate Colin Miller three minutes into the first period of the Buffalo Sabres - New Jersey Devils game Tuesday.
Hall left the ice bleeding and didn't return for the start of the second period. The injury wasn't as ugly as few others have had this season, but none the less, It was assumed that Hall wouldn't return. However, Hall appeared on the ice during a Buffalo power play.
Hall was facing Miller and started to fall awkwardly, or perfectly depending on your perspective, heading to the ice. It was P.K. Subban with a crosscheck to the lower back that started the chain reaction. Hall played just two shifts totaling 40 seconds before leaving.
The Sabres are already playing without key forwards in captain Jack Eichel and rookie Dylan Cozens, both out with upper-body injuries.
The Sabres' are expecting Cozens to play during the two-game series against Boston starting Thursday night.
