Lawson Crouse Wrecks Carson Soucy For Conor Garland [Fight]

 

Carson Soucy took a major penalty on Conor Garland halfway through the first period of the Wild - Coyotes game and after serving his penalty, Coyotes' Lawson Crouse was waiting to demolish him. 

The Wild whitewashed the Coyotes 3-0 on Tuesday and have won eight in a row to tie the franchise record for the longest win streak on home ice.

Ryan Hartman kicked off the scoring just 1:37 into the game, then Mats Zuccarello potted one in the third period and the captain, Jared Spurgeon, tallied his first goal of the season.

Halfway through the first, Carson Soucy came in hardon Conor Garland giving him a flying back check. However, Garland is a little guy and he took the hit to the head. After some back and fourth between the Refs and Toronto, He was assessed a 5:00 major for elbowing Garland in the head.

After the 5:00 major was up, Soucy returned to the ice, but Lawson Crouse was lying in wait.

Crouse caught Soucy near the bench and started to drill him in the face, giving him no time to prepare. The two wrestled for a moment before Crouse had him pinned to the ice and was sitting atop of him.

Crouse was kicked out of the game, getting penalized for instigating, fighting and being the aggressor. Despite being on the receiving end, Soucy was also had to sit for five minutes for fighting.

After that it was all Minnesota.

The Wild have won five straight games so far and goalie Kaapo Kahkonen is 9-0 in his last nine starts. Kahkonen's streak is now a franchise record for a rookie and he's the first netminder in the NHL this season to post nine consecutive wins.

The Wild defeated the Coyotes 3-0.
