Jamie Oleksiak Drills Mathieu Olivier With Uppercut [Fight]
Ten minutes into the first period of the Stars - Predators game, Jamie Oleksiak had a return to form when he fought Mathieu Olivier for boarding Nick Caamano.
Jamie Oleksiak looked like his 2017 self when he fought Oliver on the Dallas Stars' blue line. Oleksiak was a solid scrapper, until Tom Wilson caught him with a KO blast in 2018. Oleksiak was with the Pittsburgh Penguins at the time and after that fight, hadn't been the same since. But when he took on Oliver he seemed as if he was his old self again.
Oleksiak walked away the winner drilling Olivier with a, kind of late, uppercut as the linesmen came in to break it up. However, the fight wasn't enough to carry the Stars to a win.
Predators' Roman Josi scored the final shootout goal on a backhander, delivering a 4-3 win after the Predators blew a 3-0 third period lead.
Roman Josi and Filip Forsberg scored in the shootout snapping the Preds three-game losing streak.
Rookie Eeli Tolvanen, Mikael Granlund and Calle Jarnkrok all made their mark on the board as the Predators built a 3-0 lead through the first and second periods.
With eight minutes left in the third, it looked like Nashville was going to take another loss when the Stars' Radek Faksa, Joe Pavelski and rookie Jason Roberson potted pucks in the net.
Jason Robertson’s goal came with 56.8 seconds left in the third to send it into overtime.
