Wayne Simmonds vs Ben Chiarot First NHL Fight of 2021

Nothing says professional hockey is back like a good ol' scrap and Wayne Simmonds was just the guy to kick of the new season with the first bout.

 The Montreal Canadiens were leading the Leafs in the second period by a score of 3-1 and that is when Simmonds challenged Defensemen Ben Chiarot to a fight that his teammates believed changed the path of the game.

"That was the turning point of the game, for sure,He got the boys fired up. I think we were a little soft and slow in the beginning" said Nylander after the 5-4 OT win.

Toronto went on to score a pair of power-play goals following the tilt to tie the game 3-3 heading into the third period. Morgan Rielly scored the overtime winner.
