Trent Fredric Hits Tom Wilson With Haymakers [Fight]
Trent Fredric sparked the Boston Bruins to a 5-3 win over the Washington Capitals when he and Tom Wilson dropped the gloves with 11:00 minutes left in the 3rd period.
Sensing the ice was shifting Trent Fredric asked Tom Wilson to dance and Wilson gladly accepted. Wilson was Probably expecting a quick win over the AHL call-up, but ending up getting more than he bargained for. The two latched together but, somehow, Fredric held his own while swinging for the fences.
The two tried their damnedest to knock each other's head off, yet it was Fredric who landed the better of the blows. A series of hits managed to pop Wilson's bucket off and after that he went tumbling to the ice. But on his way down, Wilson managed a one-handed flip of Fredric that put him on his back.
It may not have been a flat out KO by Fredric, but it was enough to give the Bruins the kick they needed.
Pastrnak scored twice before Frederic dropped the gloves with Wilson and while he sat in the penalty box, Craig Smith potted one to tie it up.
Defenseman Brandon Carlo scored the go-ahead goal with 3:27 left and Brad Marchand scored an empty-net goal with 1:26 left.
The Bruins crawled out of their 3 goal deficit to win it 5-3 handing the Capitals their first regulation loss of the season.
