Connor Clifton bambied Nicolas Aube-Kubel With Rights [Fight]

Clifton Kubel Bruins Flyers NHL Fight

Flyers' Nicolas Aube-Kubel challenged Bostons' Connor Clifton after Clifton gave him a love-tap of a check and stripped him of the puck.

Clifton was the clear winner in this bout, as he delivered three massive uppercuts to Kubel before he knew what hit him. The third uppercut, followed by a straight jab, caught Kubel right on the button twice. Kubel was instantly bambied but stayed upright long enough to regain his composure. Kubel, ready to mount his comeback, knocked Clifton off balance and he went down on one knee. Like a wild zebras spooked by a lion, the damned linesman hopped in and grabbed them up with a quickness.

The jumping-of-the-gun by the linesmen ruined the fight and didn't allow Kubel his rightful chance at redemption.

This was Connor Clifton's second fight as a Bruin. His first comming when he dropping the gloves with (at the time Dallas Stars) center Jason Spezza in his NHL debut during the 2018 season.

Sean Kuraly and Brad Marchand scored 27 seconds apart in the third period to give the Bruins the lead.
Kuraly netted the game-winner with a wrist shot from above the left circle that beat Brian Elliott on the glove side, went off the post and in with 7:32 remaining.

The Bruins defeated the Flyers 2-1.

Other items worth noting:

* Rask went 23 of 24 for the Bruins and has won all four match-ups against the Flyers this season.

* James van Riemsdyk was the lone scorer for the Flyers.

* The Boston Bruins will meet the Philadelphia Flyers again on February 21st as part of the NHL’s outdoor series at Lake Tahoe.
